PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10)-- The city of Pittsfield will begin a new street improvement project to fog-seal its roads, extending its life. Starting Monday, July 29, the preservation of recent road resurfacing work will begin.

The sealed roads include Cascade Street from Churchill Street to Shamrock Boulevard and Churchill Street from West Street to Cascade Street. Parking is prohibited at 7 a.m., and the roads will be closed for 15 to 30 minutes after the sealant is applied.

Drivers should expect delays, and residents of the treated roads are asked to plan accordingly. Emergency vehicles can access the roads, and the schedule is subject to change due to weather.
