I was shocked to find ‘adorable’ Cath Kidston bags in Tesco from £2.50 – they’re so cheap and perfect for picnics

A WOMAN has raved about Tesco’s “adorable” Cath Kidson range, which includes lunch bags for £2.50.

The bargain hunter uploaded a video showing her purse-friendly finds in her local supermarket.

On her @lifebehindmylens account, she wrote: “How stinking cute are these cool bags I found in Tesco

“I mean, adorable. I’m obsessed.

“And they were so bloody cheap as well.”

She first of all snapped up a large food bag which was covered in a pretty strawberry design.

This one only cost £3.50, and there was also a “little lunch bag” alternative for £2.50.

She continued: “I bought one for me and my daughter, as they’ll be perfect for work and her preschool.

“Let me show you the inside.

“For £2.50, this is an absolute steal. Yeah, love the print.

“They have kids’ versions and this adorable strawberry print all over it.

Really nice straps and an insulated liner. I just think these are perfect.

“The kids go back to school, and if England finally warms up, they have this giant one for picnics.

“It’s just much bigger. It is bloody huge, and that was only £3.50.

“I can’t get over it.

“So if you’re going shopping, buying a load of frozen food, I just can’t get over it.

“It’s an absolute steal. They are adorable. I love them.

“I am in love and I am obsessed. Beautiful.”

The shopper advised that the bags “were in a weird place” in her Tesco and said they were “in a box at the end of an aisle by the tills.”

Many shoppers seemed keen to snap up the Cath Kidston bags for themselves.

One person wrote: “I’ll be heading to Tesco tomorrow.”

Another added: “Love need.”

And a third commented: “These are so cute!!”

What happened to Cath Kidston shops?

POPULAR chain Cath Kidston, which once boasted hundreds of shops around the world, closed its last store last year.

The brand was bought by Next after falling into administration – but the sale didn’t include the physical shops.

Next bought the brand name, domain names and intellectual property for £8.5million.

Famous for its pretty floral designs and quirky vintage-style homeware, Cath Kidston has been a part of the British high street since 1993.

It first collapsed into administration in April 2020 with 60 UK stores closing and 908 jobs losses.

But it had still been trading online and in standalone stores, which have since shut.

Shoppers can pick up Cath Kidston products from Next, which range from clothing to homeware.
