Los Angeles Zoo hatches record 17 California condor chicks in 2024

LOS ANGELES, California: Los Angeles Zoo set a record after 17 California condor chicks hatched there during this year's breeding season for the endangered birds, officials announced this week.

All the chicks will be released into the wild as part of the California Condor Recovery Program, the LA Zoo said in a statement.
