'Star Trek: Section 31' Teaser Trailer: Michelle Yeoh Returns to Franchise in First Look at New Movie

Michelle Yeoh has officially returned to the Star Trek universe!

The Oscar-winning actress is set to reprise her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou in the upcoming movie Star Trek: Section 31. A first-look teaser trailer premiered on Saturday (July 27) during a panel at Comic-Con 2024.

The trailer opened with a Michelle serving a fierce pose as Beyonce‘s “Formation” plays. The clip then presents her as a “bad b-tch” who is set to lead.

Here’s the official synopsis: “Yeoh reprises her fan-favorite role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou – a character she played in STAR TREK: DISCOVERY’s first season – who joins a secret division of Starfleet. Tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, she also must face the sins of her past.”

The movie also stars Omari Hardwick, Sam Richardson, Kacey Rohl, Sven Ruygrok, Robert Kazinsky, Humberly Gonzalez, James Kiroyuki and Miku Martineau.

Michelle was not present as she was in Paris, France to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Olympics. We’ve got some pics of her and her Wicked costars.
