200 bulk waste generators handed notices this month in Gurgaon

The Gurgaon Municipal Corporation (MCG) issued notices to 200 bulk waste generators (BWGs) for not complying with the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016. MCG fined 45 BWGs for violations. New guidelines now classify generators of 100kg or more waste daily as BWGs. The city has 8,749 BWGs, which must manage waste independently to reduce landfill use.
