Trump accused of 'jingoistic fascist rhetoric' with comment about punishing flag burners

Donald Trump on Saturday called for an "immediate" one-year prison term for anyone who burns an American flag, saying we should "make it not unconstitutional" to punish that type of political speech.

The former president spoke at a Minnesota rally over the weekend. Earlier in the speech, Trump made comments about "cheating" that caused some prominent onlookers to suggest Trump is planning yet another insurrection.

Afterward, Trump turned to recent reports about individuals burning flags.
