Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn & Ebon Moss-Bachrach Tease 'Fantastic Four' at Comic-Con

The cast of Marvel‘s new Fantastic Four introduced us to a whole new world for the popular heroes while attending San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday night (July 27).

Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach took the stage at the San Diego Convention Center during a panel hosted by Marvel Studios.

During the panel, it was confirmed that the movie’s official title was The Fantastic Four: The First Steps. We also learned some other big and exciting details!

During the event, the movie’s director Matt Shakman explained that the project was set in New York in the the ’60s. However, there will be a decidedly futuristic spin to it, according to Discussing Film.

A brief teaser set the scene, revealing that Pedro‘s Reed Richards was a science teacher. The cast embarks upon a ride on a rocket right before the footage ends, and we are introduced to Galactus, who is the key villain and is played by Ralph Ineson.

“I love the Fantastic Four. I love their power set. We want to be true to the comics but we want to be true to life,” Matt explained about the movie, according to Variety.

We also got a first glimpse at the quartet’s Fantasticar, which flew around the stage!
