Erik ten Hag gives Rasmus Hojlund injury update as Man Utd scorer limps off in Arsenal loss and says ‘let’s be positive’
ERIK TEN HAG IS facing an anxious wait to see how badly injured Rasmus Hojlund is.
The striker, 21, went off in the first-half of Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in Los Angeles this morning.
Hojlund had just scored a 10th-minute opener before going down injured just five minutes later.
The £72million star appeared to mouth that it was his hamstring before he limped down the tunnel at the SoFi Stadium.
Then new United signing Leny Yoro, 18, followed him 20 minutes afterwards.
Last week’s £52m arrival from Lille appeared to have an ankle injury.
Manager Ten Hag said: “Of course it is too soon and we have to wait over 24 hours, then we will hopefully know more.
“We were careful especially with Leny as he only did 50 per cent of the sessions.
“But let’s be positive and see what comes out.”
Ten Hag will be praying the injury jinx that hit United last season has not returned already.

The club had 66 separate incidents of injury or illness to players.
And that contributed heavily to their dismal eighth-placed finish in the Premier League.
Ten Hag has been searching for answers as to why the Red Devils seemed to be hit so hard.
Ahead of the game against Arsenal he feared that the amount of games coming up with an enlarged Europa League schedule could cause problems again.
He said: “The fixture list, the load on the players is so high.

“We are not the only team with so many injuries. Across the Premier League, many teams with a lot of injuries.
“We were not even the worst. What we had was bad luck, we had them all in the end of the season.
“The pressure on players is so immense and this season it’s getting even worse because of the new format in Europe.”
