Iran warns of 'consequences' of Israeli attacks on Lebanon after Golan strike

Iran warned Israel on Sunday of "unforeseen consequences" if it continues military actions in Lebanon, following a deadly rocket strike in the Israel-annexed Golan Heights, blamed on Tehran-backed Hezbollah. Foreign ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani cautioned that any new "adventures" could escalate instability and war in the region. Hezbollah denied responsibility for the rocket fire, which Israeli authorities said killed 12 people in Majdal Shams. Kanani accused Israel of deflecting from its actions in Gaza, where conflict has persisted since October 7.
