Terror reigns in Jammu: Rising terrorist attacks claim lives of 12 soldiers in July alone

The Jammu region has seen a surge in violent incidents, raising the military toll in terrorist violence in Jammu and Kashmir to 12 in July. Early Saturday, Rifleman Mohit Rathour was killed and a Major, along with three other soldiers, were injured in an unprovoked attack by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT) on an Indian forward post. The incident occurred during an operation against terrorists attempting to cross the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kamkari, Machhal sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. A Pakistani intruder was also killed in the counterfire.
