Brit bodybuilder, 32, arrested for ‘attempted homicide’ in Spain after ‘attacking two US soldiers outside restaurant’

A BRIT bodybuilder has been arrested in Spain after being accused of “nearly killing” two US soldiers in an unprovoked attack.

The 32-year-old man – described as a “martial arts expert” by cops – was wanted on an European Arrest Warrant due to the alleged “attempted homicide” outside a restaurant last month.

The Brit was detained after a 20 day manhunt as officials spotted him trying to get into Alicante Airport on Sunday.

If found guilty of attempted homicide, the unnamed Brit could face up to 15 years behind bars.

He has now been handed over to the Audiencia Nacional court in Madrid where he faces extradition.

The alleged crime took place on June 2 when the suspect approached two US soldiers.

Cops say he launched a “surprise and unprovoked attack” on the men – knocking them both out cold.

A spokesperson for Spain’s National Police in Alicante continued: “He managed to knock out the two soldiers with barely any effort given his extraordinary physical condition.

“He also displayed a high level of violence.”

The man allegedly continued to hit the two soldiers as they laid defenceless on the ground.

Witnesses reportedly saw him throw a number of brutal kicks to the head of the men as well as other parts of their body.

His two pals were said to have watched on as the relentless barrage of strikes continued for some time.

The bodybuilder then fled the scene with the pair when the cops were called, say cops.

“The two soldiers were seriously injured and at one point their lives were deemed to be at risk,” the police added.

It is unclear what caused the attack.

The condition of the soldiers is currently unknown.

It comes as Spanish police are also hunting down a rare £1million watch which was stolen from top DJ Alec Monopoly.

The timepiece, which went missing from a luxury villa in Ibiza, features miniature sculptures of his interpretations of the Monopoly Man and Scrooge McDuck.

The 18-carat rose gold watch – called the Astronomia Alec Monopoly – also boasts a spinning globe, crystal disco ball, skeletonised dial, tiny working clock and a black leather strap.

It was stolen in a raid on Alec’s house as he was performing on the island.
