'Read a lot of Gita': 22-year-old Manu Bhaker after scripting history in Paris

Manu Bhaker became the first Indian woman to win a medal in the Olympics, bagging a bronze in the 10m Air Pistol event in Paris 2024. Bhaker said the medal was long due as the country's shooters had fired blanks in the last two editions of the games at Rio (2016) and Tokyo (2020). In a post-victory conversation with JioCinema, Bhaker recollected the teachings of the Hindu scripture, Bhagwad Gita, which advised focusing on one's karma rather than the outcome of destiny. With a score of 221.7, Bhaker brought home India's first shooting medal in 12 years.
