Man killed in Lloyd District neighborhood shooting

Police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting in the Lloyd District neighborhood Sunday morning.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting in the Lloyd District neighborhood Sunday morning.

Just after 6 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired near Northeast 6th Avenue and Northeast Holladay Street.

On arrival, they found a man dead on the sidewalk.

Any possible suspects had left the scene before police arrived and no arrests were made.

During the investigation, Northeast Holladay Street was closed between Northeast Grand Avenue and Northeast 7th Avenue.

Officials say MAX Blue Line service is affected in the area and commuters should expect delays. Further, a shuttle bus will serve from the Convention Center to Lloyd Center/Northeast 11th Avenue stops.
