Piers Morgan rips Harris as 'most far-left senator in modern American history' 

British television host Piers Morgan ripped into Vice President Harris, calling her the "most far-left senator in modern American history."

Morgan, speaking on "Fox News Saturday Night," dismissed the scores of support Harris has received from Democrats since President Biden announced last Sunday that he would not seek reelection.

"She's getting a fantastically amazing honeymoon. It's going to last about a week here, and then reality will kick in," Morgan said on Saturday. "And Donald Trump will start going very hard as he already is about her record. And her record is she's literally probably the most far-left senator in modern American history."

Republicans and other political commentators have launched a series of attacks on Harris, who quickly consolidated support from her party within a matter of days last week. Republicans are targeting Harris over various policy stances, including immigration, climate change and her record as a prosecutor.

Meanwhile, Harris has used her record as a prosecutor to draw a contrast with Trump and his lengthy list of legal problems.

MAGA Inc., a top super PAC supporting Trump, spent millions on a series of ads last week, and its CEO stated they aim to "cut the honeymoon short" for Harris.

Morgan, weighing in on the support from Democrats, added,  "The analogy I would give you [about Democrats supporting Harris] is, if you were on the Titanic, which the Democrats were with Biden, and he's hit the iceberg, and it's going down, and the last lifeboat has just disappeared… into the moonlight, you will take any vessel you can see."

"What chance do you have of actually getting to land? You'll just jump on anything, and that's where we are," Morgan said, per Fox News.

Fox News radio host Jimmy Failla, speaking with Morgan, said he is "fascinated" by what he called a sudden shift in support for Harris.

"I am fascinated by the immediate pivot to this cop Kamala propaganda because if you remember, we're about three months removed from them talking about pulling her off the ticket, of course, okay. And now, we're being told she's the greatest person in the world despite the fact she ran for president, and when she dropped out, she was polling behind ISIS," Failla said.
