House fire causes damage on Manhattan Duplex

MANHATTAN (KSNT) - Investigators are working to determine what started a fire at a home in Manhattan Sunday morning.

According Manhattan Fire Department (MFD) firefighters were called to the fire at 12:50 a.m. in the in the 900 block of Connecticut Ave. Upon arrival, crews found a duplex with heavy fire in rear of the structure.

The fire was contained within 20 minutes and the occupants of the duplex were not home.

Loss is estimated at $150,000 to the structure and $30,000 of contents.
