LASG SPONSORS 47 OFFICERS TO MENTORING CONFERENCE IN ABUJA

The Lagos State Government has demonstrated its commitment to enhancing the professional capabilities of its public servants by sponsoring 47 officers to attend the National Mentoring Conference in Abuja. 

The Conference with the theme: ‘Driving National Transformation and Value Re-Orientation Through Mentoring’ was organised by the Mentoring and Career Development Institute of Nigeria (MCDI).

The two-day event featured a keynote address, panel discussion, master class, and tour of the Abuja city centre. 

The keynote address, which was based on the theme of the conference, was delivered by the Chairperson of the African Women’s Leadership Network, Professor Oluwafunmilayo Para-Mallam whilst the panel discussion centred on  ‘Integrating Mentoring as a Viable Tool in Reforming Nigeria’s Educational System’.

The Master class with the topic, ‘Mentoring: Catalyse for Career Development’, was facilitated by the former Director of Human Resources of Guinness Nigeria Limited, Ms. Chizoba Mojekwu.

The sponsored officers, comprising directors and management-level personnel from various cadres, are expected to apply the knowledge and insights gained from the conference to improve their professional competence and contribute to the state’s public service excellence.
