Simone Biles Gives Ode to Younger Self Ahead of Gymnastics Qualifying at Olympics 2024

Simone Biles paid tribute to her younger self over the weekend.

The 27-year-old Olympic gymnast took to Instagram stories on Saturday (July 27) to share an ode to a young Simone prior to competing in the qualifying round of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“doing it for her???? small girl, big dream,” she wrote under side-by-side photos of her at Olympic trials in June and when she was much younger.

Simone competed in balance beam on Sunday (July 28), where she qualified second with 14.733 points. She came in first in Women’s Artistic Individual All-Around with 59.566, a combination of her scores in floor (14.600) and vault (15.300), and uneven bars (14.433), as well as balance beam, which was previously mentioned.

The most decorated gymnast of all time even competed with a calf injury, which she has been dealing with for a couple weeks. While warming up for her floor exercise, she could be heard saying it hurt to push off, but she continued to wow with her performance after taping up her leg.
