Lineman charred while fixing fault in Greater Noida, sub-station officer suspended

A lineman, Sakawat Khan, was charred to death in Dankaur's Sakarpur village after power was switched on while he repaired a fault on a pole. The power department suspended a sub-station officer and an internal probe was initiated. Villagers protested, and a compensation of Rs 7.5 lakh was announced for Khan's family.
