But she soon got to transforming it with bargain buys[/caption]

She revealed that she purchased the caravan after she began renovating her 300-year-old home and needed somewhere to stay while builders worked on the house.

Not only that, but Hayley wanted to still enjoy life and travel during the summer while she also budgeted for the work on the house to be done.

In a recent clip, she showed off the rotten caravan which had been hit by bad mould that had ruined the interiors with mould growing in the bathroom and wooden sofa slabs rottiing.

But Hayley wasn’t put off and began to strip the damaged wood out and resealed the exterior of the caravan to ensure no more moisture got in.

Hayley and her partner Ben then began to demolish the caravan, getting rid of what they didn’t want.

This included the sofas in the caravan as the couple turned the space into a double bed for them and their cats to snooze on.

The DIY whizz then turned her attention to decoration the space – going for a country home style with wooden finishes and muted colours.

Hayley revealed she was able to transform the caravan on a budget using buys form B&M to kit out the kitchen and stick on tiles from Temu to add some personality to their home on wheels.

The couple have named their old caravan Joyce and plan to travel the UK in her.

She bought plenty of goodies to make the caravan liveable on a budget – from plastic table ware for just 50p each from B&M which included water cups and wine glasses.

Hayley also revealed she saved money by buying stick on tiles for her kitchen from Temu and extra storage baskets from Poundland for £5.

The clips of the caravan transformation have gone viral on her TikTok account @hayleyrubery_ with over 81k views and 1,000 likes.

People were quick to praise Hayley for her hard work in the comments section.

One person wrote: “I love it. It’s beautiful. I would love a little caravan like this.”

Why caravan holidays are so underrated

CARAVAN park holidays are a British staple.

And with the cost of living crisis wreaking havoc on Britain’s purses, more of us are turning to them for an affordable break.

Josie O’Brien, Senior Digital Writer on Fabulous, weighs in on why she thinks caravan holidays are seriously underrated…

WHEN I was a child, my mum used to collect the £9.50 holiday vouchers in The Sun.

She’d use them to book a couple of nights away at a caravan park during the school holidays.

As an adult, I fully appreciate the convenience of a humble caravan holiday.

No faffing about with passports, no luggage limits and no bog-standard hotel breakfast of stale toast and grey eggs.

I still love caravan holidays as an adult.

In a world of doing everything for the ‘gram, a caravan park brings you back to basics.

There’s no obligation to get dressed up, no stress to fit a million picturesque excursions in one week and I don’t find myself flustered in tourist hot spots like abroad.

I love going to coastal caravan parks and strolling along the beach parade.

My highlight is always fresh mussels, ice-creams and classic pubs to grab an afternoon tipple in.

And then, of course, there’s the cost.

Staying in a caravan is definitely way cheaper than my international trips.

With no expensive hotel bills and the ability to cook my own meals, I’m spending hundreds less than I would abroad.

I’ve had some of my best and most relaxing holidays in caravans. Maybe I’ll buy my own one day.

Another commented: “Wow she looking amazing.”

“Absolutely fabulous.Well done to you,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “Fantastic, well done.”

“Looks beautiful well done,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “You have done amazing and I’m sure Joyce is delighted to be getting revamped.”
