Stoke City Like 26-year-old Midfielder
Stoke City are admirers of a player who was on loan at Ipswich Town last season, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The Potters are putting extra legwork into their summer transfer business as the start of the new season looms large on the horizon.
The club are interested in Blackburn Rovers attacker Sam Gallagher, while Rovers have an interest in Stoke’s Lewis Baker.
However, Stoke are also looking to Ewood Park for another player in the shape of midfielder Lewis Travis.
Travis, 26, spent the second half of last term on a loan spell at Ipswich and helped Kieran McKenna’s men get promoted to the Premier League.
He featured sporadically at Portman Road, but did enough over that stint and the first half of last term to convince Stoke to want to bring him in.
Blackburn are looking to raise cash in the transfer market and cashing in on Travis might be something the club are ready to do.
The defensively minded midfielder still has another two years to run on his Blackburn deal.
