Dramatic moment Brit is arrested after ‘hitting wife on flight to Majorca’ sparking emergency landing in France

THIS is the dramatic moment a British man is arrested after allegedly hitting his wife on a flight to Majorca.

A screaming match broke out thousands of feet in the air forcing the plane to make an emergency landing in France.

As tensions reached boiling point the cabin crew were left with no choice but to step and attempt to stop the argument as it continued to escalate.

With their efforts to restore order failing, the couple continued rowing until an alleged physical assault took place.

Passengers quickly realised something had happened on board after they spotted the woman making her way down the central aisle of the plane, surrounded by stewardesses with her face covered.

The pilot was informed of the incident and after reporting it to the control tower, was ordered to make an unscheduled emergency landing at Nantes Airport.

Once the aircraft was on the ground the alleged male assailant was arrested for domestic violence and for causing injury, according to Ultima Hora.

Several officers stormed the cockpit to apprehend the man, while the woman was led off the aircraft my cops and medics to be treated for her facial injuries.

The flight resumed some hours later without any further incidents, local media has stated.

The Majorcan Pontent de Palma rugby club had been flying home from a Dublin training camp on Saturday when the chaos erupted.

The group of teenagers, aged between 14 and 15, had been on board the Aer Lingus flight with their parents and other passengers.

Aer Lingus has been approached for comment.

It comes as a terrifying mid-air brawl erupted on a Ryanair flight before “drunk” yobs were hauled off the plane by Spanish cops.

Three thugs were filmed fighting each other while onboard the plane from Edinburgh to Tenerife in February.

Fellow passengers said they endured hours of chaos after the rammy broke out, with many left shaken up as violent scenes erupted.

During the footage, two men, who are understood to be brothers, and a woman can be seen shouting at each other.

The man in the blue top was filmed storming up the aisle of the plane and squaring up to the second man in the grey.

They both appeared to shout at anyone who tried to intervene and stop them.

The blonde woman at the front of the plane was also filmed swearing at other passengers and hitting the man in the grey.

Cabin crew tried to break up the fight and ordered the trio to take their seats.

However, they took no notice of the orders and continue to scream at each other and other terrified passengers.
