Fuming Love Island fans claim star is ‘using partner to get to the final’ saying ‘she doesn’t even like him’
LOVE Island fans think Matilda Draper is using partner Sean Stone to get to the final and claim she ‘doesn’t even like him’.
Ahead of the Love Island final tonight, ITV viewers are convinced Matilda, 24, had a game plan from the start and has succeeded as they claim she “used” Sean, 24, to get to get to the final.
Sean and Matilda have made it to the final four despite their ups and downs in the villa.
Sean kissed other girls while on his “lad’s holiday” in Casa Amor, but Matilda forgave him as he has grafted ever since.
More recently, Sean told Matilda he loved her while they were in bed together.
However, Matilda didn’t say it back. Instead she replied: “I feel like we’re heading in that direction.”
To which Sean answered: “That’s reassuring.”
But fans are not convinced there is not a genuine love or connection there and claim their coupling is merely a game plan to make it to the final and potentially win Love Island 2024.
Taking to X – formerly known a Twitter – one fan wrote: “Sean told Matilda he loved her and she said “I feel like that too” babe had been using him for the beginning.”
Another added: “Matilda is 100% using Sean there’s no way anybody likes that rat #loveisland.”
A third penned: “Sean and Matilda seem forced it seems like to me Matilda doesn’t really like him like that. She’s probably using him so they can be the top two at least.”
This comes after Matilda sneakily put up her middle finger at islander Ronnie Vint during last night’s episode – but did you spot it?
Sunday’s instalment of the ITV2 show saw a handful of the former Islanders return to the villa to vote out one of the remaining couples.
It was Joey Essex and Jessy Potts who got dumped from the TV villa in the brutal twist.
However, Matilda and her man Sean Stone did also recieve two votes from Omar Nyame and Ronnie.
While Ronnie shared his reasons, Matilda sneakily put up her middle finger up at him while her arm was linked to Sean’s.
Ronnie said: “Obviously, knowing Matilda on the outside, I don’t think you’d pop it off at all.
“I feel like this connection in here is just in here.
“The obsession with another couple in here, I feel like you took your eye off the real reason you’re in here.
“The couple I am going to send home is Sean an Matilda.”
Presenter Maya Jama asked if he thinks that Sean is obsessed with Ayo and Jess and Mimii and Josh.
He added: “The way I’m seeing, I feel like these two have got something good [Mimii and Josh], these two are special [Ayo and Jess].
“What you’ve got there is special. Just concentrate on that.”
Sean said: “I have been very opinionated in here but you know, I feel like what we’ve got is something special.
“I appreciate your opinion.”
Matilda chimed in: “I don’t get the outside world comment because you’ve seen one person that I’ve been with.”
Ronnie replied: “It’s nothing personal to you. I love you, you know that.
“Just seeing what I’ve seen and going onto the outside world, I don’t think it would last.
“That’s my reason.”
Love Island final airs tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
