Grammy-winning jazz artist Meshell Ndegeocello to perform in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Egg in Albany will be hosting a performance by singer-songwriter and bassist Meshell Ndegeocello. The concert is scheduled for September 21 at 8 p.m.

Ndegeocello has earned two Grammy Awards among 12 nominations throughout her career. Her music combines elements of jazz, neo-soul, funk and hip-hop.

The prolific songwriter has released 13 studio albums, with her newest record "No More Water: The Gospel of James Baldwin" scheduled to come out on August 2. She is best known for her songs "Fool of Me," "Clear Water," and "Beautiful."
