Firerose’s Latest Statement Included a Not-So-Subtle Jab at Her Ex Billy Ray Cyrus
Since the beginning of their divorce, it was clear that Firerose’s split from Billy Ray Cyrus would be messy. After all, when the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer first filed, he cited both “irreconcilable differences” and “inappropriate marital conduct” as the reason for divorce. Since then, accusations have been coming in full swing from both sides.
On July 26, for example, Firerose posted her telling reaction to an audio of Cyrus bashing her and his family, which was leaked by Daily Mail.
“This week has been monumental in many ways and I’m so appreciative and thankful for the outpouring of support,” the Australian singer posted on Instagram, per People. “There are so many great experts, books & resources on healing.”
“I promise there’s a light at the end of the tunnel,” she continued. “Keep educating yourself.”
Underneath her message, Firerose, who got married to Cyrus in October 2023, shared the username of Dr. Ramani Durvasula, a clinical psychologist and best-selling author who writes and speaks about narcissistic abuse in relationships, and two other Instagram accounts that focus on narcissism. Cyrus, in turn, has also spoken out about the leaked audio. “Hell yeah I was at my wit’s end,” he wrote. “As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong. And that’s before I knew she was a fraud. I just knew something was wrong.”
Cyrus then revealed he didn’t know a series of things about Firerose before their marriage: her ex-husband’s name, “her parents’ last name” and her arrest for “felony residential burglary.”
“I saw before my very own eyes, everything I knew about her was a lie,” he continued. “She was trying to take over my career, my life and usurp the Cyrus name for her own gain.”
“See you in court,” he ended.
As a reminder, the leaked audio has Cyrus talking down to Firerose many times. In addition to calling her an “idiot,” Cyrus later tells her to “shut the f— up” and called her a “f—ing selfish b—.” In turn, Firerose seems calm and simply asks him to “please stop screaming at me.”
Regardless of how brutal their split was, it’s safe to say no one deserves to be talked to that way. We hope they both and move on and heal, both in and away from the court.
