PARIS, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Adam Peaty has tested positive for COVID-19, just hours after claiming the silver medal in the men's 100m breaststroke at the Paris 2024, the British Olympic Association (BOA) said on Monday.
Peaty fell just short of a third successive gold medal in the event, finishing two hundredths of a second behind Italian Nicolo Martinenghi at La Defense Arena on Sunday night.
