Rs 1,750 cr released for several Andhra backward districts

The Central government has allocated Rs 1,750 crore for the development of seven backward districts in Andhra Pradesh under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act (APRA). This was disclosed by Pankaj Chaudhary, Minister of State for Finance, in a written reply to the Lok Sabha on Monday. However, the state government has only submitted fund utilization certificates for Rs 1,049.34 crore.
