Onion to stay on hot plate for a fortnight, say traders

Onion prices are projected to remain high for the next two weeks as farmers are holding back their harvests in anticipation of better prices. This has led to a significant 50% drop in onion arrivals at the Lasalgaon market in Nashik. Traders expect the influx of new crops from southern India by mid-August to ease the prices.
