Maumee reports sewer plan to EPA, schedules roundtable discussions

A recent report Maumee officials filed with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency concluded that most of the city’s sewer overflows stem from how rainwater is managed on private properties. Submitted on July 19, the report, which was required by the Ohio EPA in orders issued July 21, 2021, is a 105-page Sewer System Evaluation Study that details Maumee’s 20-year plan to bring its sewers into compliance with environmental law.
