Josh Hartnett Reveals Iconic Superhero Role He Turned Down Twice (No, It's Not Batman!)

Josh Hartnett turned down one of Hollywood’s biggest roles, not once but twice.

The role in question was Superman. During an interview with The Guardian, Josh explained that the decision came at a time when he had decided to take a break from the demanding Hollywood schedule.

“I just didn’t want my life to be swallowed up by my work,” he told the outlet. “And there was a notion at that time you just kind of give it all up. And you saw what happened to some people back then. They got obliterated by it. I didn’t want that for myself.”

It seems safe to believe that the role would have been for Man of Steel, which went to Henry Cavill.
