Cooperstown man arrested for alleged meth possession

BETHLEHEM, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Albany County Sheriff's Office arrested a Cooperstown man for allegedly possessing drugs during a traffic stop on Sunday, July 21. Deputies said Matthew Tracy, 34, was charged with third and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to deputies, Tracy was stopped on River Road in Bethlehem for a traffic violation. Deputies said they not only found drug paraphernalia in plain sight, but Tracy was driving with a suspended license with eight active suspensions on three different dates.

Deputies added that Tracy had glass pipes and roughly 13.35 grams of methamphetamine in his car. Tracy was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court following his arrest.
