You probably know that you use a stick to hit some balls, but you may not know the more advanced rules to playing pool. The stick you use to hit the balls is known as a cue. The balls on the table are called balls, and each one has a number on it. Some of the balls are solid colors, while others are white with a colored stripe. Those colors will be important to the rules later.
