'General Hospital' Readies Return of Emma Samms After Extended Absence

General Hospital is bringing back a longtime star to our screens.

One year after her last appearance on the popular sudser, actress Emma Samms is stopping by Port Charles once again as Holly Sutton.

According to reporting by Deadline, Emma will be making a comeback later this fall.

Expect her to begin appearing in episodes in September. At the moment, additional plans for her return have not yet been revealed, but we’ll update you as we learn more.

Emma has appeared on General Hospital as Holly since 1982. She last staged a comeback in October 2022, which ran through part of 2023.

This is the latest of multiple very exciting casting decisions that the soap opera has made in 2024. There have been some big-name stars returning, though there have also been a few upsetting departures.
