Just Stop Oil protesters arrested after disrupting Heathrow Airport

Holidaymakers have had an eventful start today after Just Stop Oil protesters disrupted Heathrow Airport, and the Tube was hit by major disruption.

Two activists were arrested at Heathrow after Just Stop Oil supporters sprayed orange paint inside the airport.

The Tube was hit by severe disruption ahead of what could be the hottest day of the year in the UK as temperatures could hit 32C in London.

Circle, District, Elizabeth and Hammersmith & City lines have major disruption after points failure and delayed engineering works.

It comes as transport networks are feeling the pressure of the summer holiday travel season as people head out for vacations and the Olympics in Paris.
