Dangerous Heat Returns to Acadiana

Dangerous levels of heat and humidity are expected for the rest of the workweek. A Heat Advisory is in effect for most of Acadiana this Tuesday. Heat Index Values will reach 105° to 115° for much of the afternoon as rain chances stay minimal. More of the same heat and humidity is in the forecast for tomorrow.

A few pop up showers or storms are possible each day but rain coverage in Acadiana will only be at 10-20%. Isolated to scattered rain becomes more likely this weekend but we are not forecasting a washout.
