Larnaca municipality carries out beach clean-up

Abandoned and unwanted items were removed from the beach on Tuesday near Larnaca nautical club by the municipality and the town’s district administration.

The municipality provided an excavator and two trucks to support the district administration’s crews.

The campaign was carried out in accordance with legal provisions, as the discarded items were left on the beach illegally.

The items appeared to include a caravan and another vehicle.

According to a statement released by the municipality, the owners of the nautical club had failed to remove them despite repeated notices from the relevant authorities.
