Topeka police looking for stolen vehicle with puppy inside

TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Topeka Police Department (TPD) is asking for community assistance in finding a stolen vehicle that had a puppy inside.

At 9 a.m. on July 30 the TPD said in a press release it's on the lookout for a black Volkswagen Passat with the tag number KS 0806ABC. The vehicle was reported as stolen around 5:30 a.m. from a Kwik Shop at Southwest Sixth and MacVicar.

Police said a puppy was inside the vehicle when it was stolen. The TPD shared a photo of the car and of the puppy.

The TPD is asking anyone with information on the vehicle's whereabouts to call 911 or report anonymously to Shawnee County Crime Stoppers at 785-234-0007.
