Noble Rotisserie, which caters to those with food allergies, expands to Culver City

Noble chicken brings classic dishes to Culver City

Noble Rotisserie opened four years ago in Long Beach with the goal of catering to people with food allergies and those who just plain love chicken.

Now the classic rotisserie chicken place has brought its allergy sensitive menu to a new countertop spot at the popular Citizen Public Market in Culver City.

“We found that a lot of people were driving in from L.A. to specifically dine with us in Long Beach and this opportunity popped up so we gave it a go,”  said Sidney Price, the owner and founder of Noble Rotisserie, which opened at the market located in the middle of the city’s thriving downtown food scene in early July.

“This is a really cool way for us to test the waters in a new community,” she said.

The entire menu at Noble is free of dairy, shellfish, peanuts and tree-nuts with dishes that include classics like the herb and lemon chicken and the house specialty, the “G” Chicken, which is made with gochugaru (Korean chili flakes), garlic, rice wine vinegar, organic Tamari, ginger, shallot, jalapeño and cilantro.

“L.A. is really ready for a zip of flavor and a dash of heat with our G Chicken and G Chicken Sandwich. Anything with our house-made G sauce is selling like wildfire,” she said.

Price opened the original Long Beach restaurant in 2020 at the 2ND & PCH  shopping center out of necessity. Her two sons, Aceyn and Brixton, developed severe food allergies that made it difficult for the family to eat at restaurants since the siblings were allergic to things like milk, mustard seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, cashews, brazil nuts, pistachios and eggs.

“They are doing so well. We’re still dealing with food allergies but have definitely come into our own. There are still some challenges but overall we are all handling it with a lot more ease,” she said.

To help ease the minds of customers who may have allergies, the menu at Noble lists all of the ingredients in each dish, and there’s more than just chicken coming from the kitchen. The menu also includes steak and pork ribs served in bowls, Pot Pie with a dairy-free pie crust as well as brunch items like chicken and waffles, breakfast burritos and steak and eggs.

“I think this is where the food industry is heading with that menu transparence and really understanding what is in the food that you serve. I think LA and so many communities are ready for us,” Price said.

Noble Rotisserie is located at Citizen Public Market in Culver City, 9355 Culver Blvd, Culver City, noblerotisserie.com.
