"We can get that done": Rashford reveals his dream at Manchester United

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford saw a huge decline in form last season as he massively struggled to score goals.

In 43 appearances across all competitions, the 26-year-old managed to score only eight goals after breaking the 30-goal barrier in 2022-23.

His disappointing performances at United led to his exclusion from England’s squad for the European Championship, where the Three Lions lost to Spain in the final.

Rashford has made an encouraging start this pre-season as he set up Rasmus Hojlund’s goal against Arsenal last weekend.

Speaking to MUTV ahead of their friendly with Real Betis, the forward revealed his dream of winning the Champions League and Premier League trophies with United.

“I think as you get older, your dreams change as well. So, you know, in the beginning, it was just about playing for Man United. And when you get there, it’s about winning.

“So I still have, you know, dreams of winning the big trophies, the Premier League and Champions League with Man United. So, you know, hopefully, we can get that done.”

Manchester United last won the Premier League title in 2013 during Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season.

Since then, they haven’t even come close to lifting the coveted trophy, with managers David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer all failing to win the league title.

Their previous two Champions League trophies have also come during Ferguson’s reign and since his retirement, the club haven’t been good enough to challenge for the European Cup.

The Red Devils finished a lowly eighth last term under Erik ten Hag, and it will be an achievement if the Dutch boss could lead them to a top-four finish next season.

Given the current state of affairs, it will likely be quite some time before United are ready to compete for the two biggest trophies.
