A man has been arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and unlawful use of a weapon after threatening a Lincoln Beach resident with a machete while attempting to steal from their car.
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man faces several charges after threatening a Lincoln Beach resident with a machete while attempting to steal from their car, according to the county sheriff’s office.
The resident contacted deputies after seeing “someone rummaging through” their car in a driveway near 4600 N. Highway 101 early Monday morning. According to the resident, the suspect pulled out a machete and tried to attack them with it.
Authorities say the suspect, 22-year-old Noah Martin Zeimetz of Depoe Bay, fled the scene in another car. Police tracked down Zeimetz and used a search warrant to find evidence in his car and home.
Zeimetz faces charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and unlawful use of a weapon.
