Fifth car bombing suspect in custody

The Nicosia district court has issued a four-day remand order against the fifth person arrested for the car bombing of July 4 in Nicosia.

The suspect, a 27-year-old man, was arrested on Monday.

The court heard that an explosive device had been placed under the car of a 60-year-old man.

Three people, aged 31, 39 and 42, are currently in custody, while a fourth was released on Monday without being charged.
