'You think that we're weird': Project 2025 zealot attacks Harris after meeting with Trump

The leader of an organization pushing to ban certain books from schools complained Tuesday that his movement was considered "weird" by mainstream Americans.

In a Tuesday appearance on the right-wing "War Room" podcast, American Principles Project President Terry Schilling responded to Kamala Harris, the leading candidate to become the Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris after her campaign noted that he was one of the controversial Project 2025 members who met with former President Donald Trump.

"Harris was tweeting about you," guest host Natalie Winters told Schilling. "Apparently, you want to ban books. You met with President Trump recently."

"That's exactly right, Natalie," Schilling replied. "And these are perverted people, right? There's no other way to say it."

"If you think that we're weird for wanting to get gay porn graphic novels out of kids' schools, well, you should probably look in the mirror because this stuff is super gross," he continued. "It's disgusting. And it is perverting the minds of our children."

The activist said his organization was "digging up more and more" political dirt on Harris.

"But this is someone that has a radical, not just anti-family agenda, but anti-child, right?" he claimed. "And that's why she's attacking President Trump and J.D. [Vance] and myself."
