Police search for man accused of groping 10-year-old girl at SE Portland grocery store

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Authorities are searching for a man they suspect to have groped a 10-year-old girl at a grocery store in Southeast Portland in June, according to authorities.

Portland police say officers responded to the store at 3800 SE Hawthorne Boulevard after receiving a report that the man — whose identity remains unknown — ”inappropriately touched” the young girl before fleeing the store.

Investigators describe the suspect as a 35 to 55-year-old man standing between 5 feet 7 inches and 6 feet tall driving a 2009-2014 Subaru Outback. If caught, he could face charges of sexual abuse.
