Emergency water shut off in Albany after leak

The Albany Water Department said an emergency water leak took place in the city on Tuesday, and the department performed an emergency shutoff of the water main.

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany Water Department said an emergency water leak took place in the city on Tuesday, and the department performed an emergency shutoff of the water main.

The following properties may be affected:

• 1 – 23 Henry Johnson Blvd.
• 399 – 355 State Street including First Presbyterian Church
• 209 & 207 Lark St. may also be affected

If you see discoloration in your water, you are advised to not do any laundry and to flush pipes with cold water for two to three minutes or until the water runs clear.
