It gave aspiring actors the chance to fulfil their TV dreams and land small roles in well-known BBC shows.

However, TV Zone has reported that the show will not return for a second series.

A BBC spokesperson told The Sun Online: “There are no current plans for another series of Bring the Drama on the BBC.”

Eight wannabe actors were mentored by casting director Kelly Valentine Hendry over six weeks.

The actors were then given the chance to work on show’s including EastEnders, Peaky Blinders and Silent Witness.

The show also welcomed guest mentors from each show to help whittle the group down to the three actors Kelly thought were the best.

Their showreels were then presented at a major industry showcase for the chance to land a leading agent as their representative for future work.

The celebrity cameos included EastEnders’ Natalie Cassidy – who plays Sonia Fowler – and Rochenda Sandall from Line of Duty.

One episode saw the actors competing for a role in Silent Witness, which stars Emilia Fox.

At the end of the series, it was revealed what happened next for the final three.

Rehanna had signed with an agent and auditioned for a new streamer series.

Meanwhile, Delasi also signed with an agent and landed a role on EastEnders, with him featuring in the scenes where Denise Fox was taken to a mental health facility.

Finally, Jordan was offered a role on BBC drama Waterloo Road.
