This Morning in hosting shake-up as Rochelle Humes and Dermot O’Leary reveal duo set to replace them
THIS Morning presenters Rochelle Humes and Dermot O’Leary has revealed the duo set to replace them tomorrow.
It comes after regular hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard headed off on their summer holidays for the next few weeks.
The pair will be replaced by a host of famous faces on a rotating basis – with the likes of Sian Welby, Rochelle Humes and Josie Gibson.
On Wednesday’s episode, Rochelle and Dermot told viewers that it was their last day presenting the show this summer and they would be handing over the baton to Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle tomorrow.
Dermot said: “It’s my last show me and you, Josie and Craig in tomorrow.”
He then turned to Rochelle and thanked her before the pair gave each other a friendly hug on the sofa.
Dermot told The Saturdays star: “Thank you, thanks for a lovely half a week,” to which Rochelle said: “This is has been so nice, a lovely few days.”
“It’s all about the three days,” he joked.
Dermot went on: “I’m back with Ali [Alison Hammond] in September, the first Friday.”
Rochelle shared her upcoming plans and said: “I’m taking the kids away for a bit and then I’m back here in a couple of weeks with Joel Dommett.”
Dermot added: “Josie and Craig dive in tomorrow.”
The all-star lineup for the next few weeks include the following pairings – Dermot and Rochelle, Joel Dommett and Rochelle, Josie and Rylan, Josie and Craig Doyle and Sian Welby and Craig.
It comes after Alison Hammond last week revealed that she was taking a break for the summer holiday.
“It’s quite sad that tomorrow is going to be our last show for some time”, Dermot, 51, told ITV viewers last Thursday.
Alison responded: “I know, I know, my last day. I’m going on holiday bubs, it’s time!”
She added: “Alison needs a break”, which prompted Dermot to say: “We all need a break.”
Alison then quipped acknowledging her online critics, saying: “Even YOU need a break from me.”
Her fans were gutted to see telly favourite Alison take a short hiatus, with one writing: “Alison leaving for good?”
While another posted: “It’s Alison’s last day on This Morning before she goes on a break!”
It comes just days after fans demanded Dermot is replaced by The Masked Singer star Joel Dommett as Alison’s co-host.
Good Morning Britain‘s Ben Shephard and SMTV’s Cat Deeley were revealed as the new This Morning hosts earlier this year.
Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond continue to be the Friday hosts – and were announced as the show’s summer presenting duo.
