Celebrate Harry Potter's birthday with deals at NYC exhibit – with a catch
HERALD SQUARE, Manhattan (PIX11) -- Wednesday marks a magical day for one of the world’s most famous wizards.
July 31 is Harry Potter’s birthday and in honor of the young wizard, Harry Potter: The Exhibition in NYC at Herald Square is celebrating. Anyone named Harry gets free admission to the exhibit starting at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. If you don’t share the wizard’s name sake, you can still get $11 tickets and enjoy free ice cream from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For those who don’t remember, a young Potter turns 11-years-old and finds out he’s a wizard on July 31, in the first book “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.” That moment of course sets off his adventures at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Harry Potter: The Exhibition in NYC gives visitors a taste of that wizarding school experience by letting them choose their wand and Hogwarts house among Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Using their new-found magic, guests can play quidditch and take part in other interactive activities while exploring movie scenes like the hall of moving portraits and even Harry’s room under the stairs of the Dursleys home.
Throughout the day the exhibition will also offer contests to win bewitching prizes. For $11 tickets use the code HPBDAY2024 when booking online.
