Simone Biles is taking shots at MyKayla Skinner!

The 27-year-old Olympian, now the most decorated U.S. Olympic gymnast in history, posted a photo of herself celebrating the gold win at the 2024 Paris Olympics alongside teammates Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera and Jade Carey after the team final at Bercy Arena in Paris, France.

She captioned the post: “lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions ❤️????,” causing some confusion.

As it turns out, it was a reference to some very controversial remarks made by the 27-year-old Olympian this summer on YouTube, in which she said: “besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t, like, what it used to be.”

“A lot of girls don’t work as hard,” she continued. “The girls just don’t have the work ethic.”

While she walked back the comments and said they had all been “misinterpreted” days later, many people did not forgive the gymnast.

“Put a finger down if simone biles just ended you,” Suni Lee commented on the Instagram post.

Jordan added: “and that’s on periodt!!”

Even former Olympics gymnastics star McKayla Maroney, who some people mistakenly attributed the comments to due to their similar names, weighed in on the post: “She f’d around n found out fr. Feels like I need to apologize just to redeem my first name.”

The post already has over 2.5 million “likes.”

MyKayla seemingly extended an apology by posting a photo of the American gymnasts with heart emojis on her Instagram Story. She and Simone competed together at the 2020 Tokyo Games, where she earned silver in the vault.
