Love Island feud revealed as Mimii SNUBS show star in shock u-turn hours after leaving the villa
LOVE Island hasn’t even been over for 48 hours yet and already two of the stars appear to have fallen out.
Just days after leaving the villa, Ayo Odukoya has unfollowed series winner Mimii Ngulube – and she’s done the same.
The pair were following each other in the immediate aftermath of the show, but now they have their phones back with access to social media, it seems they have fallen out.
Mimii – who was crowned champion alongside Josh Oyinsan on Monday night – started the show in a romance with Ayo.
However, despite the pair having moments of will they/won’t they, after finding love with other people they ended the show as friends.
Ayo placed fourth in the finale alongside partner Jessica Spencer.
Despite the good terms the pair left with on screen, fans are now speculating as to what’s happened to cause them to walk away from each other already.
“He followed Mimii first and Mimii followed back. He unfollowed her yesterday and Mimii returned the Favour so [shrug],” noted one fan on X (formerly Twitter).
Others celebrated the move, with one writing: “mimii unfollowed ayo [praying hands] the world is right again #loveisland”
“Ayo followed mimii then unfollowed mimii then proceeded to like a shady comment calling mimii a “safe option” she’s not an option she’s a WINNER” said a third.
Others noticed things getting even more complicated, writing: “so mimii and ayo unfollowed each other. josh unfollowed ayo but still follows jess…and ayo is still a follower of josh? “what’s going onnn #loveisland”
Ayo and Jessica S have been together for the last three weeks, but despite this several people were convinced things weren’t over between Ayo and Mimii.
This was cemented further when Mimii attempted to recruit Joey Essex to arrange a secret meeting for her and Ayo on the terrace, with her even crawling to avoid being seen from the garden.
Ayo’s brother even said he wasn’t sure things were over between them in the final week during the annual family visit.
This was reiterated by Harriett Blackmore, who returned to the villa alongside other former islanders in order to dump a couple.
“I feel like the boy in this couple might still have feelings for someone else and even his family member saw it too,” she said.
But Ayo stood his ground, and said: “I feel naturally everyone has their opinion. I feel like when my brother did have his opinion I definitely backed me and Jess so I ain’t really fussed about what anyone has to say. I’m good with Jessica and that’s how it is.”
