Nicolas Cage’s ex Christina Fulton arrives in court as son Weston faces charges for ‘attacking her with a deadly weapon’
THE mother of Weston Cage Coppola has arrived in court as he’s set to be arraigned for allegedly attacking his mom with a deadly weapon.
Christina Fulton, 57, ignored questions from reporters as she was seen entering a downtown Los Angeles courthouse on Wednesday morning.
Weston, the son of famed actor Nicolas Cage, is facing charges for allegedly assaulting his mother in April.
The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed earlier this month that Weston, 33, had been arrested over the alleged attack, which took place on April 28.
Actor and heavy metal musician Weston was released from jail on July 10 on $150,000 bail.
It is believed that his Oscar-winning dad Cage, 60, put up the money to get him out of jail.
Weston is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with force, causing possible great bodily injury.
HORRIFIC INJURIES
After his arrest, Fulton shared a picture of the horrendous injuries to her left eye and cheek, which she suffered during the attack.
The actress and cosmetics entrepreneur said in a statement, “On April 28th, 2024, around 5:30pm I received urgent messages from friends of my son, Weston Cage regarding his deteriorating mental state, urging me to come help.
“When I arrived to offer support and console him, he was already in the midst of a manic rage.
“Within minutes, I was brutally assaulted and sustained serious injuries.
“Despite my desperate pleas to the responding Police officers to detain him for a mental health evaluation, the Police officers refused my request and neglected my urgent need for my medical attention.
“As a mother, I am deeply saddened and concerned about Weston’s ongoing mental health crisis.
“It is imperative that he receives the help he desperately needs.”
WESTON’S TROUBLED PAST
The arrest was not Coppola’s first.
In 2017, he was detained for a DUI and a hit-and-run.
Cops said Weston, who was 26 at the time, hit several signs, parked cars, and mailboxes before crashing into a tree.
Police were called to the scene after Weston allegedly fled the scene of a separate accident, which occurred a mile away.
He was charged with DUI and arrested on a $30,000 bail after being examined at a hospital.
Coppola also made headlines in 2011 after he faced domestic violence charges following a dispute between him and now ex-wife Nikki Williams.

Weston Cage Coppola's July 10 arrest wasn't the only time he has gotten in trouble with the law.
- In 2011, Weston was arrested twice for domestic violence after allegedly getting into an argument that turned physical with his now ex-wife, Nikki Williams.
