Athlete reveals what Tinder is like in Olympic Village as world’s fittest stars look to make ‘Division 1’ babies
AMERICAN rower Emily Delleman has revealed what Tinder is like in the Olympic Village.
Thousands of athletes have descended on the “City of Love” for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
A sex ban stopped athletes from being intimate at the Tokyo games three years ago due to Covid.
However, that ban was lifted ahead of the latest edition in the French capital.
Athletes were even given 300k condoms as part of their welcome packs at the village despite the use of ‘anti-sex’ cardboard beds.
Dating apps such as Tinder also give Olympians the chance to meet during their time in the Village.
Team USA’s Delleman, who is part of the women’s quadruple sculls team, has now revealed exactly what it is like to use Tinder at the games – and how she found herself swiping though a host of imposters.
In a video shared to TikTok, she explained: “So, I’m in the Olympic Village right now and so far most things have exceeded my expectations.
“The food, the vibes, the raw ambience, the fits, it’s crazy. Everything but this one thing.
“So, I was laying in my cardboard bed the other day, recovering like it’s my job, because it is.

“And I was scrolling through TikTok and I was seeing the girly’s saying ‘hey, change your geolocation to the Olympic Village, do you want D1 [National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 1] babies and I was like ‘oh my gosh, genius’.
“So I start scrolling and scrolling and I’m not seeing any Olympians. I was like okay my settings must be weird. No. I’m like one mile radius and so far I think I’ve seen a total of two other Olympians.
Paris Olympics with 300k condoms
Nearly 15,000 residents – around 10,500 of which are athletes – will be cramming into the Olympic village between July 26 and August 11.
To ensure the athletes feel at home, a number of provisions have been made by organisers.
One of these is the stocking of some 300,000 condoms, in theory enough for around two every day during the run of the Games.
A number of Olympic athletes have opened the door on their steamy lives behind-the-scenes when in camp, including huge sex orgies and parties.
London 2012 had claimed the title of “the raunchiest Games ever”, but the 150,000 condoms ordered paled in comparison to the 450,000 ordered for the Rio Games four years later.
Condoms have been laid on by organisers at every game since Seoul 1988, when it they were used to spread awareness of HIV and AIDS.
Even with an intimacy ban at Tokyo 2020 due to Covid-19, some 150,000 johnnies were handed out.

The post has since gone viral with almost four million views and 234,100 likes on the platform.
However, Delleman will be hoping for more success on Tinder than on the water at Vaires-sur-Marne.
The USA finished last in their heat before placing third in the B final to rank ninth out of nine teams in the women’s quadruple sculls.
Elsewhere, Team GB took gold on Wednesday ahead of the Netherlands and Germany.
